从英语“巨石阵”你究竟得到的是什么训练？

看到黑板上上一节课老师留下的“巨石阵”三个字，我就问学生：“巨石阵”用英语怎么说？

1）下面的学生开始抓耳挠腮起来：咦，刚才学的“巨石阵”单词是什么来着？

stonehenge，这是不是我的学生，还有你，想要“说”的“那个单词”？

这就回到了我们标题问的问题：我们学习英语单词“巨石阵”就是为了得到或者“说出”一个英语单词，而且是一个你不久就肯定会“忘记”得一干二净的英语单词吗？

2）你看我从同样的“学习内容”(巨石阵)“学到”的是什么(英语和英语口语)。我会说：

1. Well,you know,I mean it is a group of stones or a group of rocks in England or Scotland.

2.And these stones or rocks are prehistoric monuments.

我记不得“巨石阵”实在英格兰还是苏格兰了，所以说England or Scotland

这就解决了一个英语学习的重要问题：我们学习英语到底是要把英语“学成”什么，是中文，还是英语？

3) 你看，你是用英语单词(你不一定或者肯定记不住或学过了根本想不起来)Stonehenge跟人交流英语“巨石阵”。

我却用英语(口语) a group of stones or rocks,prehistoric monuments in England or Scotland跟人沟通我想说Stonehenge的意思。

我们真正有机会在英美生活的那天，你根本没有必要用“英语应试教育”(即，标准答案的英语)的心理跟老外交流 a group of stones or rocks,prehistoric monuments in England or Scotland，对方自然“告诉”你：You mean Stonehenge?

这就是语言沟通能力，而不是“标准答案”的应试英语能力。有了这种语言沟通能力，你就不再担心把英语单词Stonehenge忘记了。

我们再来看看有关Stonehenge的“其它”英语表达(用词的不同)，把它们记下来比只死记硬背stinehenge一个单词实用的多：

1. Stonehenge is a prehistoric, mysterious circle of upright stones in southern England.
